Book Review- “Blame by Brain - The amazing Teenage brain revealed” by Nicola Morgan

Why do teenagers behave like they do? A must read for parents of tweens and teens!

Parents of teenagers will be very aware of the physical changes in children in their teenage years.  Nicola Morgan has written this book to help parents understand how during this period of development a teenager’s brain changes and how this can impact their emotions, sleep, risk taking, decision making and behaviours.

During the teenage years the brain is undergoing its most radical and fundamental changes since the age of two.  The book examines the science and psychology behind the behaviour in a reader-friendly way including information on mirror neurons and helping parents (and their teenagers) understand a bit more about why they feel and act the way they do. The book also covers the difference between genders and the reasons behind addiction or depression.
